Just before the snow hit back in February and I mean literally the day before I could have sworn Spring was actually happening! Yes, it was chilly but it was an absolutely stunning day as I headed off to south Cheshire for Chloe’s Horse & Rider Photo Shoot with Rum and Ted.
Rum was most definitely feeling that Spring was in the air and thought this whole idea of having a Photo Shoot was very exciting indeed! He is only 4 and a Welsh Section D so it was to be expected! There was just far too much going on and standing still was just waayyy too boring for Rum! Luckily with a few distractions and by keeping things moving throughout the shoot we managed to get Rum to stand still for a few quick seconds here and there and got some absolutely gorgeous shots of him and Chloe together! It also helps that he’s a massive softie so occasionally he got completely wrapped up with cuddles giving me a great opportunity to get in and get the shots I was looking for.
Ted on the other hand not only looks like a big Teddy bear of a horse but pretty much is one… He’s such a kind and gentle soul and absolutely loved his time in front of the camera. He was so happy to stand and pose and didn’t seem at all bothered by grass, big open fields or indeed Spring!
Working with two horses on a Photo Shoot tends to work really well as it allows each of them some downtime to munch on their haynets and chill out before having to come back out and behave themselves for a few minutes in front of the camera! It was also a good excuse to grab a cuppa or two for ourselves throughout the shoot and warm back up!
We really couldn’t have asked for a better Winter/early Spring day and Chloe was such a pleasure to work with. I’m so delighted with the results from this shoot and hope you enjoy looking through the selection below!
If you are interested in a Photo Shoot of your own please do take a look through the rest of my website and get in touch with any questions or to book a date.
Until next time,
Ciara x
