Today it has been a pleasure to look back through Kate’s Family & Animals Photo Shoot from the end of August this year and pick out some of my favourites! I met Kate back at the Cheshire County Show last summer where she booked me to come out and photograph her and her husband, their three gorgeous children, 4 horses and 2 dogs! It was quite a collection!

After a couple of failed attempts due to weather and illness we finally got a date back in the diary for the day before the kids went back to school after the summer holidays and had a great morning for the shoot.

Working with such a collection of people and animals certainly brings it’s challenges but when everyone is committed to making the shoot a success it can be such fun! I certainly had a great morning with the McCormack family and feel the result was a great combination of really relaxed fun family photography mixed in with some great individual portraits and the ultimate family, horses and dog photo which I was delighted to deliver recently to Kate as a stunning large fine art framed print for their house.

My favourite aspect of working with families is that I have the chance to capture and preserve such wonderful and precious aspects of family life and the fleeting stage their children are at at the time. Children grow up so incredibly quickly but being able to spend a morning running around with them, playing with bubbles and ponies is a sure way of creating some moments which will be treasured forever and I love being able to create these for the families I work with!
