On the 7th Day of Christmas I give you: Zoe & Andy’s Couple Shoot

Dec 31, 2016 | Horse and Rider Photo Shoots

I hope everyone has something cold and bubbly chilling in the fridge at this stage in anticipation for the imminent countdown to 2017! Although being honest I’m not the biggest fan of all the hype that surrounds the night itself but I do like the feeling of some fresh beginnings and the excitement of what 2017 could bring! This is partly why I am doing this blog and saying thank you to all of my amazing clients from 2016, it’s been a really great year and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed meeting and working with so many fantastic people. I know there are only a handful of the shoots being featured on my blog and so a handful will receive a late Christmas pressie from me but I promise there will be an opportunity very soon for everyone to be in with a chance of getting a great big thank you for being a great 2016 client! You just have to wait until the 12 days of Christmas to find out how that could be you….!

But back to the task in hand which is featuring Zoe & Andy’s Autumn-tastic couple shoot from October this year (only a few more hours in which that can be said!) I’ve met Zoe many times over the last few years at various showjumping and dressage competitions and I was absolutely delighted when she asked me to come and photograph her and her partner Andy and their two horses. In fact it ended up being a total family affair in the end with her 3 boys getting in on the action at a later stage too.

I was very aware that Zoe specifically wanted a colourful shoot with an Autumnul feel and when the day arrived it wasn’t initially as hoped for but it was set to be dry and bright and so we went with it. Thankfully the weather gods were on our side and the sun began to show itself as the shoot kicked off! We ‘borrowed’ some colour from the neighbours lovely hedge line as the lane outside the stables was very picturesque and quiet and the locations and light were just absolutely stunning once we got back onto the yard and by the duck pond. With the two horses, Rooster and Pye and both Andy and Zoe in so many of the shots together I was very grateful for the assistance from Diane who owned the yard for her excellent bucket rattling and packet rustling skills! It felt to me like a very special shoot and I would like to wish Zoe and Andy all the happiness for 2017 as they embark on married life together and think Rooster and Pye would make the best pageboys!!!

Wishing everyone the best for 2017 and may it be a healthy, happy and peaceful one for all!
