Our dogs are never with us for long enough. A Pawtrait shoot captures your dog’s personality, quirks and charm in beautiful light, as photos (and film, if you’d like it) that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
I’m Ciara, a Chester-based photographer and filmmaker, and I shoot relaxed outdoor dog sessions across Cheshire and North Wales. No studio and no stiff poses. I follow your dog’s lead and capture them just as they are.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Every session is tailored to your dog and what you hope to achieve. I’ll guide you through every step, advising on how to prepare, where to go and what to expect. We’ll find the best spots and the most beautiful light together, and I’ll be guided by your dog on the day so it’s a fun experience for them and for you.
Bring one dog or the whole pack. You, your family and your horse are welcome too.

YOUR QUESTIONS
Does my dog need to be well trained?
Not at all. I work at your dog’s pace and let their personality lead, so nothing needs to be perfect on the day.
What if my dog is nervous or excitable?
Tell me all about your Dog when you enquire and we’ll choose a location and pace that suits them.
Can my dog be off-lead?
Where it’s safe and your dog has good recall, yes. Otherwise I can work with a long line and edit it out.
What should I bring?
Treats, a favourite toy, water, poo bags and a towel for muddy paws. I’ll share a full guide when you book.
Can I include the family, other dogs or my horse?
Yes! Include as many humans and animals as you like.
